Pina (PG) Beautifully filmed and overflowing with stunning imagery, this Oscar-nominated documentary capturing the work of the late German choreographer Pina Bausch will thrill modern dance fans and aesthetes. But director Wim Wenders offers little insight into Bausch's career or personal story. Niche appeal, but stellar. 3 stars.
The Innkeepers (R) Glacial pacing and a weak backstory kill the suspense in this horror movie about a couple of hotel desk clerks (Sara Paxton, Pat Healy) who want to record the ghost rumored to be living there. Interesting characters, including Kelly McGillis as a grouchy psychic, but the story is a snore. R for profanity, gore. 1.5 stars.
